Many organizations gathered as we remembered the lives lost in the Tsunami of 2004. Ms. Mihiri Tillakaratne who was awarded a NetAid Global Action Award for her relief efforts in Sri Lanka addressed the group in regards to continued work by grassroots organizations.
Hon. Gamini Pemasiri of the Sri Lankan Consulates Office Los Angeles further emphasized the need for continued rehabilitation as well as the long term projects that the Sri Lankan Government had undertaken.
